Searching for a connection from rural Hungary to Vienna, it just occurred to me that compared to the Hungarian Railway Company's online ticket booking service ELVIRA, both Deutsche Bahn and Österreichische Bundesbahnen provide a far worse service for their customers. But don't take my word for granted, see for yourself! Nice 90s style html-table, in this instance displaying nine connections shown at once, times, distances, and even price information with a friendly buy-button in every single row.
More agile UIs have been developed during the last decades, but seemingly not by the competition. ÖBB and DB show only far fewer connections, and most of the time even without prices. You've got to search for those a second time.
Sorry DB and ÖBB: MÁV clearly wins the UI category this year.
